A
terrific turnout (60 plus) was
evidenced for the Club’s Annual Cookout
held Saturday evening, September 20th
2003 at the home of Monte and Bobbi Lichtiger. It was a covered dish affair and
there were “plenty good vittles”.....Having the right tickets meant going home
with door prizes for the following attendees:
Tamiami Aeroclub Shirts were won by Barbra Wampole, Jose Gilibert, and
Bobbi Orth. Platters of roast beef, turkey, and ham were won by Stuart Wilson (
a guest of the Brannings), Wendy Smith , and Ursula Davidson respectively. And
Myriam Rosaly won $40.00 from a 50/50 Raffle....Everyone had a great
time............
Another fantastic event was the famous Sunday Brunch at the Seminole Country Inn that brought 11 planes, plus one car on October 19th 2003. Thirty people showed up in the misty, overcast morning to enjoy the food. Our newest members, Jorge and Silvia Bolanos and Al Manautov, were able to join us. It is always great meeting and greeting new friends and old friends. The delicious country meal had many in the Club going back for seconds........but all were able to be “stuffed” into the van to ride back to the airfield.
Our Cruise Directors, Bobbi Lichtiger and Sue Bodley have
put together a wonderful
weekend in
St. Augustine for November 21-23,2003.
The Festival of Lights will be celebrated in this old settlement and many
activities have been scheduled. The schedule for the weekend is on the website:

that has been distributed. If you wish to join the group please contact either
Cruise Director , Sue at 305-385-1958 or Bobbi at 304 444-3458. Most people
will be at the Holiday Inn but there are plenty of hotels and motels in St.
Augustine. It will be great to read
about the weekend in future Newsletters.............................

special reminder…..December 13 the Club’s Holiday Party will be held at the
Wings Over Miami Museum AND Reservations
will be taken for this event....As always we REQUIRE that you MAKE RESERVATIONS because so many people are attending the Club parties we want
everyone to have food and drink!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This party will be catered....$25.00 per person ...........and as in the past... an exchange of presents will take place for those who wish to participate...Please bring a wrapped gift (maximum $10.00).......
PULL OUT YOUR CALENDARS and MARK these dates cause the fun continues............
December 7th…A fly-in
toNaples.......information will be forthcoming but a visit to the Pilot Shop is
planned and this will be a great opportunity to shop....
December 13th….Holiday Party at Wings Over Miami Museum.And continuing into 2004.......January 11th there will be a Sunday fly-in to River Ranch...........so get out
your cowboy boots and hats....andFebruary 6th will be the Annual Business
Dinner Meeting; information will be forthcoming....
Our next Board Meeting will be held on Monday, December 10th at
6:30 PM at Reliance (TMB)..we welcome everyone to join us and share your
thoughts....
